Debate global warming? Yeah, there SHOULD be a debate. Let both sides show their evidence. The problem is the spin that is inevitably put on it. Gore has a PhD that says it happens…the weather channel guy says that it doesn’t happen.
The reality is somewhere in the middle. Gore takes the WORST case scenario and puts it forward as fact. Weatherman poo poos it all. Reality? It’s not as bad as Gore claims, but there IS global warming…and, yes, there always is global warming and cooling…the problem isn’t the temperature, it is the RATE of change. Yes, we are contributing to it…sure, we’ve been burning fossil fuel for a hundred years, but it is the amount of it that we’re burning that is the problem.
We need to move toward cleaner, renewable energy, but for practical reasons.
Final question for everyone to think about.
If the elite wanted to take over, why bother with all this elaborate scheming? Just take over. That’s it, game over.

The “climate change” is engineered. The daily spraying of the earth’s atmosphere reflects the sun and leads to a COLDER CLIMATE. That’s why they don’t show you real pictures of the polar ice caps, which are GROWING. And polar bears don’t drown if they were not poisoned by Gore’s Nazis, they can swim 150 miles non-stop! Each and every time the earth got warmer the polar bear populations GREW! Gore is a fat disgusting fraud. Like all potato-headed bastards he only deserves the best. And don’t worry, we’ll see to that.

The CO2 global warming is a fraud. The existing CO2 level absorbs all the spectra that CO2 absorbs -100%. If a gas absorbs 100% of its spectra increasing the concentration of the gas cannot absorb more than 100%. 100% is ALL there is. Why is that a difficult concept? Political science at its best.

SW, I am not sure if Kirk is right about it absorbing 100% – I believe it is something closer to 90 or 95%, but in principle, he is correct.
Right now, there is so much C02 in the atmosphere (from the respiration of plants (how they convert food to energy, not breathing respiration..) and decay of plants and other natural processes that adding more C02 to the atmosphere has a ‘diminishing’ result. IE co2 blocks heat at a specific wavelength, and most of the heat at that wavelength is already being blocked by the co2. Adding more co2 to the atmosphere is not going to block heat from other wavelengths, its only going to block or trap heat from the co2 wavelength. So, and these numbers are purely for example, it would be like saying 95% of C is blocked by 95 pounds of substance A, and you add another pound of A. You might expect the percentage to jump up to 96% – but no, the percent of C blocked merely climes to say 95.2%. Add another pound of A and the percent climbs to 95.25%. This is because most of C was blocked by the first few pounds of A, and additions therafter had less efect – just like a mathematical equation approaching a limit.
In the same way, adding co2 approaches a limit. Even if we purposfully lamblasted the atmosphere with co2, we are so close to the practical limit that it does not matter. (That is why even at best, man could have perhaps affected the temperature by about a tenth of a degree over the past one hundred years, if that, via co2)
Now, other gases like refrigerant gases might be harmful theoretically, since they are not in the atmosphere in large quantities. I doubt man could dump them in the atmo. in a quantity large enough to really change the temperature of the world – however, for comparison, a refrigerant gas can be on the order of a billion tons more dangerous than co2 pound per pound, as far as blocking heat goes – not because the gas is innately better at blocking heat – but because there is so little of those particular gases in the atmosphere blocking heat of those wavelengths that their practical effect is much greater.
