Doyle Bramhall II is a guitarist and vocalist in his band Smokestack and is also the second guitarist in Eric Clapton’s band. His father, Doyle Bramhall Senior, was the drummer for blues legend Lightning Hopkins

“I didn’t come from any kind of academic background, but I lived in a college town and I knew people who weren’t without pretense. There was this idea in the town that if something was European it would be good.”

He performs as a stand up comedian in comedy clubs across Canada, the United States, and Australia.

“The reason I talk to myself is because I’m the only one whose answers I accept.”

He lives a mad, mad life and what he remembers he reports back to us. He’s been known to bare his soul, and other things, right there on the stage.
