A top Air Force official — who was brought in to help improve the transparency of the service\’s acquisition process — has resigned amid questions of information leaks, The Associated Press is reporting.

Ken Miller, who served as special assistant for Air Force acquisition, has stepped down, the AP reports, quoting several anonymous aides.

Miller, a former top Navy official, was hired by the secretary of the Air Force two years ago to improve the transparency of its acquisition process. He told The Post in February that he had more than 100 meetings in the past year with congressional leaders to update them on the process to select a bidder for a $40 billion deal to build tankers for the Air Force.

Two of the aides told the AP that Miller was being investigated by the service for allegedly leaking information to the public before the government disclosed it.

The Air Force\’s logistics chief, William Anderson, also resigned Monday, saying the recent leadership shake up by Defense Secretary Robert Gates had hurt his ability to do his job.
